Basic Life Support (BLS) is an American Heart Association (AHA) course designed to teach healthcare professionals how to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest, by providing high-quality CPR, using an AED, and working effectively as a team.
What is HeartCode BLS?
HeartCode BLS is a blended-learning BLS course that combines online learning with an instructor-led practical session.
Course Format:
- Complete the online learning at your own pace.
- Attend a 2–3 hour hands-on practical session at Phoenix Institute.
- Practice CPR, AED use and other essential BLS skills with an instructor.
- Complete the required skills assessment.
